Another Beautiful Day in Vermont…

The calm before the storm...
The calm before the storm…

That was sarcastic.  At least half sarcastic.  We had about 24 hours of decent weather before the skies opened up again.  And the rain returned with a vengeance.  It went from sunny and nice (albeit 90 and humid but these days if it’s not downpouring, that’s “nice”) to apocalyptic downpour in the course of about three minutes.  We scored a last minute entry into an art fair in downtown Stowe and as we

were packing up the truck at the end of the day we could watch the storm rolling in.  No sooner had we loaded the last crate into the truck when Mother Nature unleashed 24 hours of pent up angst.  It rained angry–felt like twilight it was so dark and the winds were howling.  Apparently there are closed roads and washed out bridges all over the state.  Ready for a break from this weather for sure…
